Issued: July 1, 2025
Effective July 1, 2025, Partners Health Management will implement a newly approved In Lieu of Service (ILOS), Transitional Youth Services (TYS), for NC Medicaid Direct members.
What is happening?
Transitional Youth Services (TYS), an In Lieu of Service (ILOS) for NC Medicaid Direct members, will be effective and available beginning July 1, 2025. This service was previously known as Young Adults in Transition (YAT) and had been sunset by the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS). The redefined Transitional Youth Services has been formally approved and reinstated as a Medicaid Direct ILOS to better support transition age youth in their move toward independence.
