Partners Pauses New Contracting Requests

Issued: July 31, 2026

Effective Aug. 1, 2026, Partners Health Management will pause accepting new provider contracting requests due to the upcoming Oct. 1, 2026, merger with Vaya Health. This applies to new requests to join the Partners network and does not apply to current providers who are asking to add sites or clinicians. Partners also will pause letters of support related to licensure for all non-contracted providers.

Requests to join the network and letters of support are based on network adequacy needs and will be reviewed following the merger implementation to ensure the development of a robust provider network.

What is happening?

  • Effective Aug. 1, 2026, Partners will pause the acceptance and review of new provider contracting requests.
    • This decision applies to only new requests from providers seeking to join the network.
    • It does not include requests from currently contracted providers to add sites or clinicians.
  • Also paused at this time will be letters of support related to licensure for all non-contracted providers. Partners will continue to review and consider letters of support requests from providers who are in-network and already contracted for the service being requested.

What is this happening?

This is taking place due to the upcoming merger with Vaya Health. When Vaya Partners launches on Oct. 1, 2026, the combined entity will resume acceptance and review of new provider contracting requests based on network adequacy and needs.

What do providers need to know?

  • The following exceptions will remain in place and will continue to be reviewed and processed as needed:
    • Member-specific agreements/contracts
    • Member-specific letters of support
    • Innovations services letters of support
    • Service requests that support a network adequacy service gap
  • In limited circumstances, exceptions to this temporary pause may be considered based on identified network needs or other unique situations and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
  • For a list of current network needs, please refer to the Current Service Needs page on our website and in the most recent provider communication bulletin.
  • Providers who are currently contracted with Partners Health Management and those with contracting activities already in progress will continue to receive communications as appropriate regarding their existing agreements.
  • Partners is appreciative of your interest in serving members and the commitment to an ongoing partnership. Any future changes regarding network contracting opportunities will be communicated through our standard provider communication channels.
