Requesting Letters of Support

As part of the pending transition and upcoming merger of Vaya and Partners, we are updating the process to request Letters of Support. All new requests are temporarily on hold; however, we are reviewing each request that is received based on network adequacy needs, service gaps and the provider’s current services and facilities. A letter of support will be issued if there is a demonstrated need for the license being requested. Any letter of support that is not issued at this time can be submitted after Oct. 1, 2026, for reconsideration under the newly formed Vaya Partners organization.

During this time, Partners will continue to review and consider requests from providers who are in-network and already contracted for the service being requested. To begin the Letter of Support request process, please send the following information to PNDevelopment@PartnersBHM.org.

• Type of license requested from DHSR website
• Service code(s) for which licensure is being requested
• Facility capacity (number of beds if applicable)
• Service(s) to be provided
• Physical location of the facility
• A detailed description of the program
• The population to be served, including whether this population is specialized or underserved within the catchment area
