AlphaMCS Issues
We are experiencing issues such as latency, search functions, update functions, and uploading of documents in AlphaMCS. Partners has been in contact with Mediware and are working to resolve the issues.
In the meantime, if you are entering information into AlphaMCS, please keep a paper copy of your data so you can re-enter it if the Save or Update functions do not work. In addition:
- If you have an expedited Service Authorization Request that you are unable to submit in Alpha, please submit a Manual Service Authorization Form. (You can also find this form at https://legacy.providers.partnersbhm.org/service-authorization-requests/.) Please deliver the Manual SAR by faxing to one of the following numbers:
- Inpatient Requests: 704-884-2703
- Outpatient Requests: 704-884-2701
- Innovations/IDD Requests: 704-884-2690
Please continue to report any issues that you find to the Service Desk by calling 704-842-6431. It is extremely important that we know the issues and problems you are experiencing so we can report it back to Mediware.
Partners will continue to work with Mediware and monitor the situation and will provide updates as we get them. Thank you for your patience.

As a reminder, a Treatment Plan is required and must be at least updated at least annually. The Person Centered Plan (PCP) may be used as the Treatment Plan. If used, it must follow the requirements of the PCP manual. Services cannot be authorized beyond the end date of the Treatment Plan. Each request is still required to meet the medical necessity criteria for the service.
